"I tried this recipe when an SPF 15 sunblock did not adequately protect me during a kayaking trip. I had all ingredients except the aloe juice on hand, so stopped at the health food store on the way home to get some. I was able to whip up this remedy very quickly using my hand blender. Highly recommended, especially if you keep it in the fridge. In addition to helping heal a sunburn, this spray smells wonderful; lavender is calming thus helping one cope with the pain of the burn. I felt that applying some aloe gel in between spritzes might have increased the effectiveness of this remedy."
