Low Fat Brownies
Yield: 1 Cake     VG, DF, SoF

1 1/2 c Unbleached all-purpose flour
3/4 c Carob or Cocoa powder
1 1/2 ts Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1/2 c Honey
1 c Unsweetened applesauce
3 tb melted butter (or oil)
1 ts Vanilla

Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then combine. Pour into prepared 8 x 8 pan and bake at 350 F. 35 - 40 minutes.

Variation: Add chopped/slivered almonds and substitute the vanilla with 1/2 tsp. almond extract.
