The Non-Dairy Diner Style "Milk" Shake
VN, GF, SF
Yield: 1 serving
10 oz flavoured soy or rice milk ( look for chocolate,
carob, vanilla and strawberry flavours)
1 small frozen banana
1 scoop non-dairy frozen ice cream (look in the frozen
food section of your local health food store. . . I've
seen ones made from rice, soy and even hemp!)
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a 16 oz glass. For a less sweet shake use a larger frozen banana, and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup firm silken tofu instead of the non-dairy ice cream.
