Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Asian fish sauce
- 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 2 quarts puffed corn cereal
- 2 quarts crisp corn cereal, such as Corn Chex
- 1 packet powdered white Cheddar (from a box of packaged mac and cheese, 3 to 4 tablespoons)
- 1 packet powdered white Cheddar (from a box of packaged mac and cheese, 3 to 4 tablespoons)
- 1 cup macadamia nuts
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 2 cups sour gummy candies, chopped
- 12 ounces white chocolate pretzels, chopped (about 2 cups)
Method
Step 1
Combine the butter, fish sauce and sriracha in a microwaveable container and microwave on high until melted, about 30 seconds.Â
Step 2
In large bowl, toss the cereals with the powdered Cheddar. Add the melted butter mixture and mix to coat. Add the nuts and cilantro and mix again.Â
Step 3
Microwave the cereal mixture on high for 6 minutes, stopping to stir every 2 minutes.Â
Step 4
Add the sour gummy candies to the cereal mixture and stir. Spread the hot mixture on a cookie sheet in an even layer. Top with an even layer of pretzels. Let rest until cooled.
